Oysterun Privacy Policy
Oysterun is designed around local control. Your agent conversations, files, and Host runtime live on your own computer, not on Oysterun's cloud servers.

What Oysterun is
Oysterun includes a local Host service that runs on your computer, a phone app that connects to that Host, and limited Oysterun Cloud services used for app identity, pairing support, notifications, and operational security.
Information stored on your computer
The following information is normally stored by your local Oysterun Host on your own machine:
- Agent sessions and conversation history
- Agent folder configuration
- Allowed file paths and local workspace settings
- Local website files generated by agents
- Local runtime metadata needed to resume or manage sessions
Oysterun Cloud does not host your local conversation history or your local files as part of the normal product flow.
Information processed by Oysterun Cloud
Oysterun does not require account registration or an email address. Oysterun Cloud stores only the limited technical data required to pair the phone app with your Host and deliver notifications.
Push notification tokens are used only to deliver Oysterun notifications to the correct device. Notification payloads are kept limited to what is needed to alert you about Oysterun activity.
Files and conversations
Oysterun Cloud does not need your files or full conversations to provide the core local Host experience.
Third-party AI providers and tools
You may connect Oysterun to third-party AI providers. They may process the prompts, files, messages, or tool data you choose to send through them. Their own privacy policies and terms apply.
Data sharing and sale
Oysterun does not collect any of your data except notification-required data. We do not share or sell that data.
Retention
Oysterun Cloud retains operational records only as long as needed for pairing, notification delivery, security, troubleshooting, or legal obligations.
Your choices
- You choose which Host to connect to.
- You choose which local folders agents can access.
- You can disable notifications.
- You can remove local Host data from your own machine.
- You can stop using Oysterun Cloud pairing and notification features.
Security
Oysterun uses authentication, scoped tokens, and platform push notification mechanisms to protect product flows. No security system is perfect, so you should keep your computer, phone, Node.js, and Oysterun installation up to date.
